These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RoleWithIt, including the website at justrolewithit.com and the application at play.justrolewithit.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by RoleWithIt ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the interactive features of the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement.
We verify age at the point of account registration. We reserve the right to request additional age verification at any time and to immediately terminate the accounts of users who misrepresent their age. Where required by local law, additional age verification measures may be implemented.
RoleWithIt is an interactive romantic fiction platform. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate text-based narrative content that may include mature themes, including but not limited to: romantic and intimate scenarios, sexual tension and suggestive content, explicit textual descriptions of intimate encounters, and emotionally intense fictional situations.
All content on the platform is AI-generated text. There are no images, videos, audio recordings, or depictions of real persons. The nature and intensity of content generated during any game session depends on the choices made by players and the boundary settings established before gameplay begins.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you may encounter mature themes and you consent to receiving such content as part of the interactive fiction experience.
RoleWithIt includes a pre-game boundary system where all players independently set their comfort levels and hard limits before each game session. The AI narrative engine is designed to always respect the most conservative player's settings.
Any player may pause or end a game at any time using the safe word feature or by exiting the game. No explanation is required. This right cannot be waived or overridden by other players.
Deliberate and repeated attempts to circumvent another player's stated boundaries, whether through in-game actions or external communication, may result in immediate and permanent account termination.
You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates these provisions, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting conduct to law enforcement where appropriate.
To use the interactive features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. You may not transfer your account to another person.
Games on RoleWithIt are purchased individually at $5.00 USD per game session as a consumable purchase. There is no subscription. Pricing may change with reasonable advance notice.
Payments are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or our web payment processor. All payment processing is handled by these third-party providers and subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Refund Policy: Games that have not yet been started (no turns played) may be eligible for a refund. Once a game session has begun (at least one turn has been played), no refunds will be issued. For refund requests, contact us at support@justrolewithit.com.
Our Content: The Service, including its design, features, code, brand assets, and AI-generated narrative content, is owned by RoleWithIt and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your Content: You retain ownership of the text inputs you provide during gameplay. By using the Service, you grant RoleWithIt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your inputs through AI systems for the purpose of generating gameplay narratives and improving the Service.
AI-Generated Content: Narrative content generated by the AI during gameplay is owned by RoleWithIt. You are granted a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to access and view AI-generated content from games you participated in. You may not reproduce, distribute, or publish game transcripts or AI-generated content for commercial purposes.
All narrative content generated during gameplay is produced by artificial intelligence and is entirely fictional. AI-generated content does not represent the views, opinions, beliefs, or endorsements of RoleWithIt, its employees, or its affiliates.
We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, coherence, or appropriateness of AI-generated content. Despite our safety systems and content guidelines, the AI may occasionally produce unexpected, inconsistent, or inappropriate content. If this occurs, you may pause the game, use the safe word feature, or report the issue.
You understand that AI-generated content is probabilistic in nature and that identical inputs may produce different outputs.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RoleWithIt and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your content or inputs, or your violation of any rights of another person.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms, violation of the Acceptable Use provisions, misrepresentation of age, and fraudulent or abusive conduct.
You may delete your account at any time through the account settings in the application or by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), 10 (Indemnification), and 12 (Dispute Resolution) survive termination of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or class arbitration. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class arbitration against RoleWithIt.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it will be severed from these Terms. All remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
